Intimate North Shore Elopement in Marblehead | Grace & Deven
Filed Under: Elopements
On a cloudy and crisp New England spring afternoon, on the rocky coast of the North Shore, Grace and Deven tied the knot in their favorite vacation spot.
They began their elopement day slow, enjoying each other's company in their quaint rental. Upon my arrival, they had claimed their own space so they could get ready separately and in a short time share their first look. Grace had thrifted a beautiful 70's gown that fit her like a glove, completing her look with Mary Jane styled heels and dainty crown. Deven pulled in their love of astrology by wearing a really fun Scorpio tie and his leather bracelet sporting the sign of the Scorpio.
Only a short ride from their rental, Castle Rock Park, as the name states, boasts a beautifully rocky coast line with a view of incredible historic homes (mansions). After scoping out the park, they chose an off-the-path, quiet spot on the beach to read each other their vows, which would be tucked into their anniversary box with a bottle of their favorite wine and handmade handfast cords. They kept their ceremony small and intimate with their only witnesses being the officiant and myself. Their laughs carried over from their ceremony into their portraits, as they frolicked along the shore, Grace letting the wind carry her train. Lastly, they spoiled their dinner with honestly the most delicious vegan chocolate cake. Grace had packed up this adorable vintage cake and brought it from their favorite bakery in Amherst.
